Ok…so, I should kick myself for knowing I was doubting purchasing the Peace to the World set at M’s Stampin Up workshop last week.
It all started simple enough, flipping through my current catalog, deciding on a new Christmas set to make cards this year. Peace to the World pops out at me…I love sheep, ya know.
At the workshop, I asked M what she thought. Much the same answer as I was having, doubt. Not very versatile. I purchased it anyways, knowing it would just be for this year.
I come home last night, all excited to see what I can come up with. My craft table is completely cleared and ready for task. I go to splitcoaststampers to see if any one has made a card from this set. Yes, two people. I then hit a mental wall.
Help! For an HOUR, I pondered over this card (see picture, left) and this is what I came up with. Most like one of the two on the website I was perusing. Ugh!
I put it away, in disgust. Well, unlike a piece of clothing, you cannot take stamps back and besides, I wouldn’t. I’ll just hold on to it and maybe, just maybe some creative spark will slap me upside my head and I can make a card that I like with the set.
To complete my evening, I pulled out the two NEW stamps I purchased last November on our roadtrip to our knitting retreat at Ft. Worden. The card was simple and adorable in the store…I just had to have the santa kitty and the “baby, it’s cold outside” stamp. Those two stamps cost almost as much as the Peace to the World stamp set.
All was well, till I started spreading globs of my Diamond Stickles glitter glue…outside the fur portions of the hat. That it when I gave up and went back to knitting.
Alas, I have only been working on my Montego Bay Scarf

I have since doubled the length since this picture a few days ago…very simple knit and it’s a baby cashmere I am working with. Now…the sad part is I found one row, half way through what I have knitted, that was a repeat of the previous right side row…not moving the stitches one place to the right. Crap.
I am not feeling like a crafter at the moment, be it a knitter, stamper or what have you.
I do not want to frog it as no one will see it but me. Crap, crap, crap!
Well, I hope my Saturday is a little less bumpy as this morning I am taking K school clothes shopping, as long as A doesn’t drive the two of us nuts, we should get out of the stores without a headache.
Happy crafting to you all…truly, I mean it…as I sure don’t have the mojo for it!

stamps are very expensive, aren’t they? i am sure something will come to you.
I just frogged my Red Scarf in progress for the same thing..but it was in many rows!!! Cute cards! I feel your shopping pain, and I only had to get khaki’s and shoes. Gotta love uniforms!
We all have days like that. Laugh and move on – it all comes together eventually.
Personally, I really like the Peace lion and sheep picture.
