Saturday, here in the Pacific Northwest, was a Three Bears weather day in my book. Not too hot, not too cold…just right. The sun was shining, a soft breeze rustled the trees. Lovely.
Saturday was filled with misc. doings. Four jars of pickles, three jars of applesauce and two jars of dilly beans were canned. Garlic was pulled and is now drying for what I hope to be, a nice braid with in the weekend. The afternoon held movies…only two. Under the Greenwood Tree….then bbq’d some steak for little K and I. The evening held Middlemarch…all 6+ hours of it. I knit on my Brown Green Gable till I was too tired to hold the needles…then moved on to my redwork embroidery christmas ornaments for this year…until I was too tired for that too. I held up until 2am when I finished watching Middlemarch. A bit sad…but a good one for me to watch.
Today, little K and I are off to the local county fair.
Ah ha! Yes, I found you. Two words, baby — “Vest Everest” — and a search. Thank you for being the absolutely BEST ever Secret Pal, and I hope a long and dear friend!!!
I went to the county fair on Sat and I saw your “Alpaca Earflaps for J” hat on display. Wow – small world. Nice Knittin’ ! Congrats on your ribbon.
What a productive day! To help an ignorant Australian – what are dilly beans?
I missed the fair this year. I hope you take pictures of your entries and your winnings to share with us. Middlemarch is on my “watch” list.
Hope the fair was nice, sounds like you had a great day for it! All your canning is making my mouth water…fresh fruit/veggies..yum!
