Ok…you know the old saying “Fallen off the wagon”, well my old friend of 30 years (this summer) has always said, “Mind your r’s and s’s” instead of “mind your p’s and q’s”, just to be different.
Well, I don’t feel like falling off the wagon with my new little “gotta shed 27 pounds” theory, so I’m on a tricycle for this one…trying to keep balance and keep peddling at the same time. Not as easy as it looks, but I’m giving it a try.
I figure if I use the “Yarn Diet” or the “Wagon” metephor, I am setting myself up for big trouble. You all know you will buy that knitting book or that skein(s) of yarn that you “just have to have” without blinking an eye and so will I, hence the yarn diet really doesn’t not work. As for the Wagon, darn if one can’t just sit on the wagon that will hold ones rearend while you just keep tossing back the high calorie goodies. Hence, the tricycle. I hear Queen in the back ground with “Fat Bottom Girls”. LOL
You ask yourself, “What is she thinking, what outfield did this pop-fly bounce out of?” Well, I guess I’m not thinking, having just finished mowing the lawn, about an hour of pushing a lawn mower that is NOT, I repeat, NOT self-propelled. Whew, but I feel good now and after about 15 roasted brussel sprouts with my turkey for dinner, I’m not tired one bit. Craving brussel sprouts for about two weeks, think I’m in need of iron or whatever those little cabbages give out?
Other Crafting: Maybe a little Christmas Card stamping to see if I can come up with a card to mass produce for this years mailings or maybe not.
Knitting news: Still working on J’s One Cable scarf, haven’t worked too much on it the past two days, really need to get that project done and out of my knitting basket.
Knitting on my OSW in the brown ragg color during lunch, but won’t have it don’t to wear for another few days, only getting a half hour or so in on it a day. It took me an average of four hours to knit them last summer, after four of them, I got pretty fast on knitting them up.
Well my knitting friends, thanks for tuning in….
Ha ha, now I have Queen stuck in my head! I doubt I’d make one lap around the yard with our push mower before collapsing in a quivering mass of gelatin on the front lawn. Today I didn’t knit… that sucks. Even 5 minutes of quality knitting can do wonders for one’s well-being. Can’t wait to see your next OSW.
Yah – Thanks – Now I have that song stuck in my head too…
But good for you getting some excercise. I need to think about gettin some of that too!
That’s three of us with the song stuck in our heads. One more and we can be a barbershop quartet.
I thought I was the only person in the world who loved Brussels sprouts!
