The Belle of the Baa-all

Well, what do you think? Bonnie, my funny friend at work, saw the Mervyn’s ad with pj sets at 50% off…mind you, if the batteries had not just died, you would see the matching slippers that came with these great pj’s. Oh, and they also can glow in the dark…(giggle).

I called the South Hill store and luckily there was one pair in an extra roomy size left for me. The sales clerk was nice enough to hold them for me and I drove straight there to purchase my pj set, site unseen, except for the clipped ad. All washed and dried, waiting for me to get comfy in them to sit and knit.

Will I be the Belle of the Baa-all at Knitting Retreat?

Yahoo…the retreat is only two weeks away. I just sent in an order to KnitPicks this morning before work(shopping at 5:30 a.m., does it get any better?). Fingers crossed that my order will be here before I head out to pick up Ms. Mary on Nov. 4 for our road trip to Ft. Worden.

Spent about an hour and half tonight spinning up a mohair/angora batt I carded up a few weeks ago. After plying, I have a whopping 58.75 yards. I can get a cute pair of baby booties out of this. Already washed and rinsed, hanging to dry. The ply seems to have come out pretty good, nar a twist in the skein. I love it when it hangs correctly…no extra Z or S twist. Maybe it will be dry by Sunday…will most likely leave it a natural color (white mohair with white & light grey angora from my bunnies).
