Having completed the wool fingerless gloves last night, wanted to get a post on this morning before heading out to work.
Alex (DD#1) wants a pair for soccer, which practice started yesterday, looks like just a varsity team will be on for this first year of the new GKHS opening up here in Graham. A pair of these, possibly in black, would be a great piece for her to wear during the games as it will get a bit chilly. Practices are twice a day through Saturday. Yikes.
Tonight is Tuesday Knitty Meetup…Ellen will be starting her socks with a Regia yarn, I just know she will get hooked on making socks.
WIPS: Pinwheel blankie is still in the works, along with my Rabbit Tracks scarf. Branching Out is patiently waiting my return.
Eating Local Update: No dinners out while in-laws were here, so I think I did ok by using the yummy side of beef in the freezer instead. BTW, the side of beef was raised organic here in Graham by a co-workers dad…I’m soooo on for a side next year. Time to save the dollars.
What a great project. But soccer practice twice a day??? Yikes! Oh…I remember when I used to have that kind of energy.
